[AMC-List] has anyone tried these?

I see these advertised all the time, you plug into your lighter and it 
charges the battery and starts the car. What a marvelous concept. With my 
luck I would plug it into one of my AMC's and it would fry resistors and 
fusible links would go glying thru the fenders and firewalls.
