1967 uses vacuum as well and there's no torque tube to deal with on an American. There are the issues of the water pump and radiator. You need a short water pump (like from a 74 or older CJ-5 with a 232) and the radiator needs to be pushed forward for clearance. If you have A/C now, there's no room for it with a 232.
