IIRC a 4.0L EFI in stock form puts out 245 ftlb torque.
Mines had the head ported slightly and runs a 3:31 axle with 255/60/15" tires and a 4-1 first gear T-5. I've not broken it yet. If he's not racing I would expect it to hold up fine if he retorques the hubs.
