I'm planning to charge a few hundred less then $700, but heck right now
it's vaporware so don't put off buying from them if it's time. In the
last two weeks I've gotten a billet materials supplier and once I'm done
with the XJS I'm working on (replacing the plastic grill with billet
among other things) I'm starting on the '70 grill. I honestly had a 20
minute conversation telling my shopmate that there was no demand, guess
that was a bit premature.

Route 66; You asked the very question that I posed to a hot rod shop in
town. The grill on my 70 looks good once all the plastic stops
vibrating. I don't approach the grill from the front anymore, either.
The shop will make up an aluminum grill with running lights and blinkers
from a gremlin (nice chrome
housing) for about $700. It will be solid, shiny and about 3X cheaper
than a replacement grill. Plus a local guy has offered me $5oo for my
old grill.
I have pondered this route for about a year now.....Russ
