Russ, thanks for the info. My car is a '67 Rebel 770 wagon. I figured they were interchangable, although at the time of the post, I didn't go out and look. I'll work on getting the bulb out and cleaning it up, see if I can get it to operate again. I know about putting grease in the socket/on the bulb, but this particular one hasn't been touched by me until this time.
I'm sorta at a crossroads with this car. I like it, but I need something with a bit more power, say a 360/TF combo. It can be done in this one easy enough, but I'd just as soon trade or sell/purchase something else if possible. This car runs good, so I hate to take it down, and doing an engine upgrade would also require better brakes and springs.
Any full-size AMC wagon would do from '67-73 with a 343 or 360, but my wish would be a nice '71-3 Matador wagon. I really would like sometime tow capacity while still enjoying a classic AMC. I just can't justify a V8 gas or diesel pickup for this. My little Ranger 4 cyl pickup has low miles, is paid for, gets near 30 mpg, and does 99% of what I need a pickup for.
