Free Ramblers

I believe Ben D. from NorCal previously mentioned the
free Rambler Americans on the craigslist site here in
the Bay Area.  I have seen both of these cars and even
if they were priced at a few hundred dollars they
would be worth the money.

I believe the owner only had to Rambler Americans
(which were for sale a few months ago, and now are
being give away).  If that is the case, then the 63
hardtop he is advertising is the 63 440H hardtop with
air conditioning that I looked at and photographed.  I
passed on the car (at $300) because I just did not
have room for another project at the time (and still
don't).  I posted to the list about this car.  It was
originally a pink/white car with the gray/black
interior I think.  I don't remember whether it has the
twin stick or not.  

The 61/62 2-door sedan I believe was the owner's daily
driver for a couple of years.  It might need an engine
overhaul and has been parked awhile but has been in
his carport/garage.

The owner is a real fan of the old Ramblers and I know
will be hesitant to junk them, so please get the word
out and let's find these cars a good home.
