What in the heck was Thomas B Jeffery's middle name?  Something like Bevin...

No , It was Bucknum , not sure on an exact spelling, but pronounced Buck - num.
Also additional predecessor company for Willys are, Kaiser Fraser , and Gramham
/Paige. The ABC company was out of Peoria,Illinois and I believe the old 
factory
is / was still up. Not one of AMC better buys I'm afraid. ABC specialied in 
washing machine
for the appliance division. There are a few in a local museum if you are
