Bart (and ALL!!), please refrain from adding "colorful descriptions" if you're going to mention specific people on the list. Keep to the facts if you feel you should/need to reply on the list. If you need/want to vent a bit when answering a question do so in private e-mail. I don't want personal problems or problems from other venues of AMC activity bleeding over to this one. 

All I can say is the Internet is a great communication tool, but typing misses so many cues we take for granted -- tone of voice, facial expressions, etc., that it's easy to mis-communicate without knowing it. This is espcially a problem with people like you (and Brien, for another example) who tend to be very expressive. The visual cues mean more to you guys, I think.

I hope you get things worked out over there, and if not -- well, you still have this list and can read the Forum. Don't give up on the hobby because you have problems with a specific group. The List and the Forum have core individuals that pretty much determine the "flavor" of the group -- that is the case with ANY group, regardless of where/how/for what reason it's formed. Even different church congregations of the same denomination will have a different "feel" once you get into one in particular. Some are more progressive than others, some more strict -- in the SAME denomination! Yeah, church's can appear to be the biggest hypocritical organizations, depends on your point of view. But that's the best example (because of broad scope) I can think of. Having moved around a lot I can speak truthfully on the matter -- every congregation I've been to over the years is very different though they are all Lutheran!
