" 1/2* negetive camber will usually only cause the drivers side tire to wear slightly on the inside.
" Road crown causes the right side tire to actually wear even. At least around here.
" Don't flame me on this, I've seen it in actual use for 30 years.
definitely it was -both- my front tires. maybe the roads around here
don't have the same degree of crowning. or maybe it's a
highway/non-highway issue -- i avoid highways whenever possible.
" Rotate the tires and it isn't a problem. With big and littles, I just
" rotate the front side to side. No I've never had a problem with a
" radial tire doing this, even though some think it is not O.K with
" radials. The wife's Altima's owners manual actually states that the
" tires should be x rotated! I do it all the time. I look at my tires
" and how they wear and rotate them to a spot on the vehicle that wears
" slightly different.
radial tire evolution went through a phase when x-rotation was bad;
iirc the tread belts would take a set according to the way they
rotated. if you then reversed rotation they wanted to come apart.
they've solved that tendency, years ago.
