I dug the back seat from my yellow car out of the back of the garage where it has sat since 1989 last night and started to clean it up. I appears to be like new under 16 years of dust. Now to try that trick of laying the carpet in the sun to get the creases and fold marks out of it today. > > "Doc" > > > > ============================================================= > > Posted by wixList Archiver -- http://www.amxfiles.com/wixlist > > > ============================================================= > Posted by wixList Archiver -- http://www.amxfiles.com/wixlist I don't figure to glue the carpet down, not yet anyway. I will install it with double sided exterior carpet tape for now. I see on these car shows on TV they use steam to help make carpet and upholstery fit. I figure with a completly black interior sitting outside in the sun with the windows closed for 6-8 hours a day I will get the steamed effect and can tighten the carpet as needed and then I will glue it down permantly. I am really getting excited as after all this work and time it is finally coming together. I installed the repo window channel in the drivers door today along with the repo door gasket and window fuzies. I have the door custom panel and all the parts for it's installation ready for tomorrow after I have to do some banking and BS for my mothers business according to my lawyer. Now I will go back to cleaning the rear seat out of my yellow car so it can go in the orange one shortly. Hey Tom J. The puke tan is almost gone. Just the carpet and the dash left.
