My 1962 Ambassador, with 327 and Flush-O-Manic, got 18, 19 mpg at
65-70mph. It had some absurdly low axle, I don't recall what (in
the 2's).  It turned under 2000 rpm in the 60's (mph)! I lived in
Mass. at the time, the car was from Colorado, and I discovered the
reason for the silly axle on my first cross-country road trip
(1976, to Bremerton WA). Came in real handy on Route 80!
