Re: t-5 questions

it dawned on me last night that even if the Gm tip fits the roller pilot in the shortblock I have, I will still have a problem to work out. I believe the old pilot bearing from this 92ish shortblock will not fit the 95 shortblock in my American! because the crank is different. I wonder if Jeep has an adapter to allow the new crank to be used with the old smaller tipped trans. They should have to allow for replacement engines to fit older Jeeps.
If they handle it like they used to it would be included with short and long blocks.
The problme, would be finding out what the part number for this piece actually is.
My other thought is. What does the snout of the AX15 with the 3/4" pilot tip look like?
An adaper to be press fitted to the GM tip may be a real easy cheap fix! As it could be made to allow engagement into the proper pilot bearing that actually fits the 95 crank I have!
