A: There are 2 styles of 2wd outter ends I have seen so far. One looks just
like a 4x4 one with plugs in the back of the bearing where the shaft comes
through and the other has 1 piece rotors (off my son's '89 Comanche) that
look like '80 Concord rotors.

Just for your reference Mark, that front axle mounts EXACTLY like a 4x4
front axle. Same arms, spring locations, etc. It even uses 4x4 axle steering
knuckles and bearings on the ends! AMC just used a single piece of axle tube
between the 4x4 ends to come up with the 2WD XJ/MJ. Pretty good thinking! I
don't think there's a special part in there, though the hubs, bearings,
and/or stub axles on the ends might be different than 4x4, not 100% sure.
