Sanden A/C compressor retrofit

Maybe I'm the last to know about this -- which seems to happen
more and more! -- but I just found out that there's a tiny adapter
that converts a modern O-ring connected Sanden A/C compressor to
the older flare-type connectors!
http://www.rparts.com/Catalog/Major_Components/compressors/dkk/flare_adapters.htm
DISCHARGE (high) SIDE
040-0050 adapter
040-0051 O-ring
SUCTION (low) SIDE
040-0055 adapter
040-0056 O-ring
A lot, or maybe most, of the newer Sandens use #10 hose on the
suction side; my 63 and some 80's AMC stuff used #8 on the suction
side, so you'd have to get one with #8 suction. Both the old and
new that I've seen use #6 hose for the high side.
(I have an AMC-application Sanden I got from a lister a year ago,
it's got right-angle adapters on it, I'll look when I get home
but they might be O-ring to flare adapters. Those might
make it easier to find cheaper pumps.)
