Joe, AMC rotors won't cross with any other manufacturer. There simply is no demand for the rotors. I'm not sure if one of the manufacturers has decided there's enough demand to continue making them but has to charge more because of the lower volume, or if they are simply selling off stored stock. I prefer to think the former, but a source for the KH rotors will dry up before one for the later model rotors. That's another reason I always suggest the 77-83 Concord/Spirit et al disc brake system. Of those the 82-83 is the best, but also the hardest to find because fewer cars were made those two years than the other seven years. The rotors are the same from 77-83, only the calipers and mounts are different. you can get rebuilt KH or Bendix calipers cheap because they do swap across brands.

Frank...everyone.... Then i assume that disk brake setups(Kelsey Hayes)from
Matador,Ambassador....etc 71-76 will ALL interchange with 71-74 Jav/AMX units.
So...WHY are the rotors THREE times as expensive?? I can get new Bendix type
rotors for $32-$35 locally. BUT the Kelsey Hayes rotors are $95-$100....???? Any
idea whats the deal??? Thanks to all for the info so far!! Waiting to hear WHY
so high$$ $,
Joe
