Brian, I have a 66 American and the interior is much like the 64 and 65 Americans. Things were about the same in 1967 too I think, but the instrument panel was altered to the more modern looking round instruments (speedo anyway) in 1967 and did not change appreciably through the rest of the run for the American/Rambler until its demise in 1970. To familiarize yourself with the interior options I recommend that you get sales brochures for the 64 through 67 at least American. The interior appointments were very simple and similar for all series (220 through 440), although there was more chrome on the seat bases and a console was an option for the convertible (and 440 series in general). If you are serious about an interior restoration, I recommend that you get a 1965 dealers data book and whatever upholstery/color book is available for 1965. The data book will list the interior options have pictures of many/most of them. You could probably call SMS fabrics in Oregon or Original Auto Interiors in Michigan with your trim code (from your driver's door) and order swatches of material or just order the original interior fabric or sewn seat covers. For the hard parts: door handles, arm rests, dash knobs, etc. just watch Ebay or call the AMC vendors which have parts cars. Post your specific needs to the list too.
