Alright, it's starting to look like I might run a full tear-down
rebuild on my engine instead of replacing it... Does anyone have
any
recommendations on where to get a full rebuild kit for a good
price?
figure, if i can afford it, i'l try to find some roller cams and
rockers, timing chain too (hey, since i'll have it all apart
anyway...). Maybe a minor overbore and head deck too (.030 and
to
around 9 CR)... -- maybe i'll put an aw4 on it too .) I MISS MY
CAR!

Welcome Back Greg Z !!
Skrew that 258.
Dude, find yourself a '97 or newer 4.0 and
AW4. Check www.car-parts.com for one.
Take the entire unit in one piece & plop
it straight into your 'Bird.
The 258 will make a great Lawn Bird
Feeder.
I read that the 2000 engines have a new
Intake that was 'Sound Engineered' to
make growling sounds - Wildlife at its'
Finest !
