Man, we had a (n adult) friend, who should have known better,
called a few months back and asked "when you top off your oil,
does it usually want 6 quarts?" Turns out he ADDED 6 quarts to a
HONDA little 4-banger... I told him umm STOP the car and TOW it
to a garage for an oil change... he said he had been driving it
but noticed that it was smoking on the freeway. I bet! He did get
the oil changed (!) and it seems to have suffered no ill effects.

He didn't know about the dipstick. He thought he should fill
it to the top of the filler neck (on the valve cover.)

I swear I'm not making this up!

No, it's not his first car, and he's over 30. He's what we call
round these parts a 'dim bulb'. He's handsome and popular with
the girls and he's a nice guy, so I guess his girlfriends pull

him in out of the rain so's he don't drown.
