RE: setting up dual quads

Believe it or not, everything you are asking for is on the Edelbrock web
site. They have a "How to tune" primer, and lots of tables and graphs
showing what jets and rods do what to your carb. All part of the
"Performer Series Carburetor Owner's Manual" section. I printed it all out
a while back; its handy to have around the garage. Go do some serious
surfin'................

Subject: setting up dual quads

I am looking for advice from those of you who have used dual quads on
your AMC cars.

I am using 2 new Edelbrock 500 CFM carbs on my 390.

The engine has a 510 lift cam, offy 360 dual quad manifold, 70 390
heads, 69 390 block not bored, stock 390 crank, roller rockers, Rhodes
lifters, crank scrapper, carter fuel pump, electronic ignition, MSD
blaster 2 coil.

My question is which metering rods and jets will get me in the ball
game. The ones that are in there are too much. I am not sure what size
they are in there because they are new carbs that have not been touched,

Thanks in advance
