RE: AMC Die-Casts

I'd buy one each of the 3 Big Bad '70 AMX's. I recently bought one of the
HW61 '68 Dart GTS 383 (dark green) models, since I used to own one exactly
like it back in the early '70's. The detail is quite impressive; but
they're kinda pricey if you're used to buying ERTL units.

Subject: AMC Die-Casts

This past weekend I had the opportunity to talk face
to face with the Director of Sales for Highway 61, a
major die-cast manufacturer at a hobby show in Las
Vegas. Of course, I asked him about the possibility
of his company doing any AMC models in the future.
They've already done the Hudson Hornet and the Met.
He told me that Daimler-Chrysler has approached him
about doing an AMC and he asked me which AMC models
should they consider. I said the '68-'70 Javelin SST,
'71-'74 Javelin AMX and the Gremlin. Granted both
Javelin body styles have been done in 1/64 but these
would be 1/18 scale and highly detailed. I told him I
would pose the question to my fellow AMC'ers. So
here's the question. WHICH TWO AMC MODELS WOULD YOU
LIKE THEM TO DO (don't say '68-'69 AMX, it's been
done)? Please e-mail me off-list and give me your
choices. I would like to hear from all of you. I'll
total up the votes and pass the results on to the
gentleman at Highway 61.

Mark
