" Does anyone have a yoke to fit a T-14 (3-speed all synchro
" manual trans) they'd part with for cash or trade?
warning! there are two t-14 splines!
'68-'72/3 are like t-96, coarse. '73/4-6 are fine. i -think- it's a
tf spline, shared with the 904. pretty sure.
i have a late t-14 in my american. i didn't realize the spline
wouldn't match my car until i got it home. i also found that t-14s
are ~2" shorter than t-96s.
there are several yokes used in the '70s - 5.5" and 7", with various
size u-joints - but homer browning, who i got the tranny from, found
a long one with small u-joints that went right onto my driveshaft and
made up the gap. i've been running it for 6 years now.
alas, i don't know what he took it from, but my spadework with the
mitchell master interchange indicates nothing distinguishing t-14s
from tf904s.
" While actually need a whole driveshaft, they're bulky to ship
" and I can make up the rest if I find a yoke.
"
" 3-speed Javelins would have one.
also most other 3sp amcs of the period. most switched to the t150 in
'75 but gremlins held out.. i guess amc had a pile o' stock to use
up.
" Who woulda thought this item would be so hard to find!
it isn't really, if you know what to look for!
