Re: 1965 Ambassador for sale/ American work

Great work Mark! Nows not a good time to know, but there is a screw in fitting adapter on the PS box. I had to change it from the 87 Cherokee box to one from a Concord back when I switched over. The Cherokee had a metric adapter on the pressure side. I'd have thought the fitting screwed off all the boxes since I got one from a junk yard Concord, but could be wrong -- esepcially on the old falre fitting boxes.

I also found out that the steering box I bought to use on the American [3 bolt Grand Cherokee box] won't fit easily into the American, but it will bolt into the Convertible. So, I will take the box from the American parts pile and add it to the Convertibles.

Solution, I cut the O-ring nipple off the hose and used my Flaring tool to double flare the metal line. It bolted right up! Cool. Beats an adapter that might work loose. Next up is to get the Driveshaft and trans mounted back up and the rear half of the fuel lines installed.
