Re: 1965 Ambassador for sale/ American work

I actually accomplished some things this weekend on both the Convertible and the American. Convertible info I learned that it is holding up under the cover. I also found out that the steering box I bought to use on the American [3 bolt Grand Cherokee box] won't fit easily into the American, but it will bolt into the Convertible. So, I will take the box from the American parts pile and add it to the Convertibles.
On the American, I found a Grand Cherokee P/S High pressure hose to be the closest fit. The problem was it was an O-ring hose and the box is a Hornet flare fitting type box. Solution, I cut the O-ring nipple off the hose and used my Flaring tool to double flare the metal line. It bolted right up! Cool. Beats an adapter that might work loose. Next up is to get the Driveshaft and trans mounted back up and the rear half of the fuel lines installed.
I still need to pick a place to put the return line into the tank.
I also need to get a Power steering pulley as mine was shattered

Enough for now.
