Some months ago I got my 232 idling *perfectly*, perfect... then it went rough, with #1 fuel-starved at low idle (600 rpm) (testing by pulling the plug on #1; no change in idle). If I bring the idle up to 800+ #1 contributes and it smooths out. Everything is tight, but I think I have a leaky intake gasket or flawed surface that matters only at the tiny volumes of fuel/air at idle. It's LPG not gasoline, but idle is idle, and a gasket a gasket... it's also worse when cold, which makes no sense for LPG, and it's a new carb that sets up right. I wish the intake manifold sealing system was better on these motors, like two bolts per port and not entangled with the hot one. And I didn't this last time around, but I not only missed loose manifold bolts before, I did it *twice*, the first time around somehow I burned #4 (!) exh valve. Go figure.
