P.J. (my great wife of 40 years) and I left early Thursday morning for
the '04 AMC NATIONALS and got home around 6PM this evening, tired, wore
out but it was all worth it. A real great turnout for the meet, some real
exciting AMC drag racing, a bunch of topnotch looking AMC's & Jeeps in
the car show, all kinds of new & used AMC parts for sale, a whole bunch
of door prizes and 50/50 prizes donated by NAMDRA members and various
vendors, etc.; really great weather (hey, us AMC'ers were congratulated
by the track owners for bringing them the great weather as a lot of their
weekends this past season have been bummers!) and the one thing that made
it all worthwhile for P.J. and I was the fact that so many came up to us
and thanked us for all we have done in putting on the event and I have to
say that in the 22 years that we have been doing this, more have
approached us this weekend with their thanks than in the total of all the
past years! But, hey, it isn't just P.J. and I who deserve all the
thanks, it is also the other NAMDRA officers, consultants, members,
vendors, etc. who have helped in one form or the other!
