Re: re: Looking For Gremlin Shock Plates

The gremlin/Hornet mounts are not the same as the Javelin type in 2 ways. The stager is the opposite way on these cars and the lower shock has a stud on the mount on the Javelin for a round eye to slide over. The Hornet uses a stud on the shock that fits in a hole in the shock bracket. Mounts off other car types could be swapped to change the mount type if you have a set laying around that are incorrect for the lower mount that you may have. I used Chrysler lower mounts to get rid of the staggered shocks on my Donohue to clear the oversize exhaust I was running. I just moved the front mounted shock to the rear of the axle. The upper mount was still there as the staggered mont was added later by the factory. It would be pretty easy to make your own tab with a hole in it to weld to your traction bars. The bars I have seen had this done already.
