If your planning on an Auto Trans.

This place is worth checking out.

They have a Dyno & test the trans.
before they ship it - & adjust everything
to perfection.

These came in Wagoneers with 360 V8 engines.

I'm getting a 1983 A-727 HD LocUp Convertor Trans.
from them .
