Hey Freddie, 

As far as I know the "jeans car" could make a trip. I don't know about the tires..they only have proablbly a 1,000 miles on them but I don't know about how they dry rot..I have heard of that so that would be my concern not the motor...if I was taking off in it.. I never had another car that I thought had a sole but I think this one does... Mildred
