Hey Gang, Spent time today removing my door panels, the ones I cut out years ago for speakers. Got 2 good used ones. Have all the new weather stripping for both doors. Ran into a problem with the front adjusting bolt for the window It was sheared off....always wondered what was rattling down there in the door. I have a couple of donor doors that gave me a replacement. Gave me a chance to hone my window removal and repalcement skills before actually attacking the ones on my best Gremmie. Had to drill an extra hole in the door to get the replacement adjusting screw in. NO rattle now!!! The top of the door where I rest my arm is pitted and a bit rusty. Sanded it all down and ready for primer and a fresh coat or two of black paint. Then I'll put in all the new weather stripping, followed by the glass. My final task will be removing the instrument cluster to replace all of the dash lights. My thinking is some of them still working have been since 1975 DO NOT want to do this job again. I always hav a devil of a time getting the speedometer cable reattached. Any helpful hints? My booster for my Radio Shack Radio is attached to the shelf below the dash...gotta get that out of the way too! Hoping I have time to remove and paint the valve cover and the air cleaner can. Like Jerry says...so much to do, so little time when it comes to Gremmies. Glad I only have one to take care of. I'll be staying at the Quality Suites Hotel on 122nd Ave. I'm a member of AMO and will be in the show on Saturday. Who else is going? How will we get together? Anyone on the list a local in Kenosha? Gettin' ready, won't be long now. Gary Canonsburg, PA PS I'm arriving on Wednesday and stayin' 'til Sunday AM. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
