I get to put the original AM radio back in my Gremlin. Had an aftermarket radio but it didn't look right? I took the AM out because there are no AM stations that play music here. While at a hamfest, my other hobby is amateur radio, I found a FM converter. I have been looking for one for four years. Back in the seventies when FM stations started to play rock instead of just classical they sold these things so you wouldn't have to buy a new radio for your car. Trouble was they sold for about $20. Back then for about $30 or $40 you could buy you a decent AM-FM radio and have stereo. So you can see that they weren't big sellers. This thing is a box about 6 inches by six inches. It has the FM dial on it. You plug your antenna in it and plug the wire from the box into the radio. When you wanted FM you turned it on, tuned your am radio to 1400 and use the dial on the box for FM. I just hope it works. You can tell it has never been installed it is still in the plastic. It had a $18.95 price tag on the box but inside it has the sale receipt where the lady put in it on her MC for $9.95 in 1981. Can't wait to install it. Now I have an old 23 channel CB might just put that in it to. How much 70 "s can you get. Now does anyone know where I can get a re-verb for my radio. I won't make you guess what a re-verb was. It was a box you connected between your radio and the back seat speaker. It made the sound come out of your back speaker a split second later than the sound out of your front speaker. With a lot of imagination it made your 8 track sound good. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
