Well, I took off Friday, went up with Ben Franklin, our AMC club president, and we walked from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. I bought mostly literature, some fine HUGE Metropolitan black and white photos, other AMC post cards, advertisements, mag articles, whatever I could find. Actually came back with less bulk than in previous years, and I may have sold my '69 javelin hood, talked to a guy at an AMX vendor spot, he was looking for a '69 hood for a friend of his, and I was in the right place at the right time. I told him I was asking $250 for the hood, I've had it in storage at the farm for a few years, I found out it wouldn't work (easily) on a '70 Javelin. So, might make a little mullah on this item, if his friend wants it badly enough. Might meet him at Cecil, have to wait for him to call me on it. Anyway, didn't find too much else Hornet or Gremlin, other than some lit., I did find a V-8 crossmember out of a Hornet, but the guy wanted $300, so I had to pass. Darn! I really want one, I can take the one out of the Spirit down the farm, but that's work. :) Maybe I'll get one from Leon's. He still has a Hornet with one, I think. I picked up a few other items, some Gremlin patches, two different Matador patches, a RAmbler Service patch, then hit a few of the tool vendors to look for special tweasers and other interesting items. I actually took it easier ( walking ) than in previous years, didn't go gung-ho to try to see it all anymore. My wallet didn't take it any easier, though, took most of my $ at Carlisle. Luckily I didn't go up with any more. LOL. That Gremlin go-kart is still for sale by a vendor, for $1,500. Ouch, I'll pass. Nice, but I can buy two or three full-size cars with that money! :) Anyway, think I'll go lay down it's been a long day, and I only got 3 hours sleep last nite. Ya'll have a great weekend, mine's off to a good start. Hope to get the old '76 Matador running tomorrow, so we ( the owner and I ) can get it shipped off overseas to a guy, and out of my driveway finally! Also need to pull the sunroof Grem out of the garage, move some stuff out, and push the car all teh way in so I can have access to my working things. Lots to do! Well, g'nite, folks. AMC ya in the morning... Jerry one tired flea-marketeer...
