401 conversion

Hey Steve Smith: I have a feeling that there might be a lot of mail on this one. The 401 is the big AMC engine as far as cubic inch goes. All of the blocks were the same size just different internals.( Bart may be all over this one) but if you are going to put a V8 in your car my opinion is to go for the big one. Maybe I just like the sound of 401 rolling off my tongue. At this pinot it don't matter the process has started.I also have a 304 that will most likely get some attention some where down the road. I don't have any plans for the 232. Looking for a extra ? I have been driving it this past summer it runs good , carb could use a rebuild ( so whats new ) . I won't be using the tranny either, and it only has 26,000 miles on it. I got second gear rubber with it last summer so it must still be tight. It shifts like a dream. Don't be afraid of your lack of knowledge. That is what we are all here for. Maybe we can hook up this summer if the grem gets back on her feet. I have relatives in the cities so I am up there quite often.Well thats all for now.
