hey,it seems you are starting to get the ball rolling my son and I had a similiar problem with an exhaust cutting he did it with a hacksaw but then I figured we could have done it with a ccutting wheel attached to my power saw.I know how hard it must be working in the cold.I spent a few winters in conn.You will find that working on that type of project takes a lot of improvising Icannot stress enough SAFETY as I had a torque arm fall in my face while we were unbolting it from the rear end on a z28.Luck was with me nothing happened except a sore jaw.
