[BaadAssGremlins] Re: AMC dash altenator light glows dimly

To gremlin_corvette_guy@xxxxxxxxx your account is no good, got this back
from yahoo: " ----- The following addresses had permanent fatal
errors -----<gremlin_corvette_guy@xxxxxxxxx>
(reason: 554 delivery error: dd Sorry your message to
gremlin_corvette_guy@xxxxxxxxx cannot be delivered. This account has been
disabled or discontinued [#102]. - mta1272.mail.bf1.yahoo.com)"

so am posting my reply here on badassgremlin group maybe you see it:
Yes, it seems to apply more or less to later model AMCs, my 74 Sportabout
does it. Also had a low miler 78 Concord woodie wagon that did it. My 82
Eagle wagon did it until I tightened up the stupid battery cable, but didn't
want to open hood as big nest of Texas red wasps under there guarding the
210,000 mile 258-6. So stuck spray poison bomb under car facing upward into
engine bay and took out all of them. After adjusting cable & removing wasp
bodies (putting them on fire ant mounts to appease kids) no longer glows.
But yes, seems some, not all, later models not immune.

Eddie, Do you think this same condition applies to later model year
Gremlins too as I have 2 of my 3 1973 gremlin "X"s and get that same
indicator light glow , especially at lower r.p.m.s even though both
alternators have been rebuilt by a reputable alternator rebuild shop?
Also have swapped around several voltage regulators and no improvement.
