Yup, actually several of them were used for movie. One of the most well
known ones belongs to fellow in Iowa. Years ago I was approached by Playing
Mantis who was looking for a Hornet Hatchback to photograph so they could do a
diecast of the Bond Hornet. I was able to get ahold of fellow in Iowa who owns
one of the Bond cars, and he was enthusisatic about project, best of all, he was
not far from Johnny Lightning headquarters in Chicago, IL. So he drove it over,
they took extensive photos the rest is history! Not sure if guy ended up with
case of new Bond Hornets but that is what they used to do with me! As for the
company looking for a '73' Hornet for shoot, any 73-77 Hornet will suffice as
cosmetically they didn't change much at all in those 5 years of production.
Hopefully they will find one anyways, I alerted a number of AZ and CA
folks of this request. Since they in LA maybe they can get me a autograph of
Angela Dorian, the Playboy Pink AMX lady who I understand is doing 20 years in
prison for trying to cap her ex boyfriends ass. Still would like her autograph
for my collection, I promise not to bake her a pink cake with file hidden
inside.
