Hi. I came across a NOS Schieffer aluminum SEMA flywheel (stick shift) in an OEM box marked AMC 401. In the box, is an insert reading: "NOX-RUST VAPOR WRAPPER MFD. JULY 1971 MIL-P-3420B TYPE 1 CLASS 3 STYLE A35L". The part # on the box is faded, appears: "63070032" a number in slightly smaller font below, seems to be:"30-5008". An ANCIENT looking sticker says "Don's Stereo & Speed Center, Mt. Vernon, Ill. Applying this flywheel to my 1972 401 crank reveals that the staggered bolt pattern is identical, but there is NO lip or register for the flywheel to locate on, only the bolts keep it in place. Doesn't seem correct to me.... Thanks in advance to the AMC clan..
