Hello Eddie! I want to make my 287:1 conventional rear to a twin grip limited slip rear. I have been studying the service manual and the only difference I can see between the conventional rear and twin grip rear is that the twin grip rear has clutch disks, plates, and a belleville washer. I see that the differential gear needs splines in it for the clutch parts to slide onto. Does the conventional differential gear have those splines in it? What I mean is that is the differential gear made the same for both twin grip and conventional? I would think it would be cheaper to make them both the same and amc just added a clutch if someone optioned the twin grip rear. Thanks for your time Darren M __._,_.___
