Agreed below. I had a friend take me to a Houston Rockets game, the seats
were courtside, that is, right next to players, front row, like old Jack
Nicholson has. Never had sat that close to court and was surprised at how big
the players were, even though had met some of them thru years in sports bars I
managed. The seats were $380 each. So almost $800 for pair of seats to watch a
game that lasted 3 hours. Not counting parking, beer, munchies. The beer was
$7.50 a bottle. Plastic bottle to boot. So when we left, and went out to parking
lot to get in my 68 Rebel convertible 'Machine' for drive home, I didn't have
anything but memory from game left, so maybe $1000 spent to watch millionaires
run back and forth playing with a ball. I had over $1000 in my seats alone in
the Rebel, $300 in carpet, $150 in padding, $1000 in top, ect, but at least I
had something there that would last for years. Hell, I can't even tell you who
won the game that night!
