There is also a company that has the fabric:
SMS Auto Fabrics 350 South Redwood St. Camby OR. 97013
503-263-3525
I got a 2"square sample of Levi denim from them couple years ago, looks to be a more heavy duty material than what you would see in normal material. Must be something , as they quoted me $79.00 yd.

Thanks a lot. I did not know about the hobby shops having the material. I was just thinking about the prices that the old Levi jeans were costing because of the fashion craze now. This info helps a bunch. I am glad I found this BadAssGremlin bunch because you have given me a bunch of valuable information.
Thanks

If you go to just about any hobby store lik eHobby Lobby or Michaels, they sell rolls of Levi's denim type material. They also sell new, and real, Levi Strauss buttons a auto upholstery shop can stitch on seats and door panels. The material AMC used on the Levis Gremlins, Hornets, Concords, AMXs & Jeeps was 'demin like material' same stuff sold in stores. In 1978 you could get not only blue but red, tan and black Levis interiors on your Concord, Gremlin & Concord AMX.
