Re: [BaadAssGremlins] Fw: middle Tennessee AMC Engine Rebuiilders in my area...HELP

while I do not know of any in your area I dont think that is your problem. It is rare for the rings to go bad with that little mileage. I would say that the cheap plastic umbrella valve seals have all disintegrated.
Replacing the valve seals is a much easier job. Find a local Jeep guy and see where he gets his work done.
 Good luck,
 Davis

Hi O Great & Wise One,

Jim Craft in TN. Lost a ring on my 343, 69' AMX. Motor had only 63K orginial miles on it. Looking for a rebuilder I can tow the car to in my area, TN or southestern USA.

Have had heart surgery so working/pulling the motor is out for a while. Want my baby up and running again. Runs good, just smokes REALLY bad. Any ideas????

THANKS, Jim Craft in middle TN
