Re: [BaadAssGremlins] engine swaps

I agree with that, but that's the thing, I have one all original with 75000 that's my 70, then I got 2 77's one been hit on pass side, the other the interior was rotted away and bad floors, the one without the interior and bad rear floors is the one I wanna make my daily driver then take the one that been hit and maybe make a 4x4, would rather see it in my yard then it being Prius

4 me, a Grem is a toy and not a daily driver. I'm more interested in SPG (sMILES Per Gallon), not MPG.

Someday, when the gas gets too bad, I'll get a 5-spd or a Gear Vendor system ($2K+)... yikes!

I myself am looking into a jeep 4.0 conversion, but have yet to decide transmission. But if I want more displacement just look into stroking the motor

Instead of swapping out your 6-banger, look at your transmission. Added gears = added MPG.

With everyone looking at V8 swaps Im wondering about options for replacing the 4.2 in mine.
Gas is 4.25 and I actually use my Gremlin so Im thinking a modern 4 or V8 would get better power and mileage plus reduce the wieght on the front improving ride and handling.
Anyone seen or done something on those lines?  AMC sixes last forever but 16 mpg is pretty bad looking into the future.
As to V8 swaps, how do SBC (small block chrysler!) fit?  I wouldnt mind for a toy having a 340-6pk under the hood!
