Right on Bart . The small block chevy is a great engine and I have a couple of them in the back of the shop but the best place for one in in a chevy something or other GM body not an AMC. There are just too few AMCs left and I hate to see them swap in other brands of motors. I am about sick of the new chevy small block L motors and will not ever use one in anything because of all the fuss about how great they are! I dont care if they make 3000 hp while they get 75 mpg ! Too much press-same reason I got away from my 1st gen Camaros. Like a-holes everybody has one.

I'm still considering a SBC for my Grem (currently has a '70 360 w/51cc dog leg ports).
Why go backwards when your already ahead of the game with your set up you have now?? Everything with a SBC swap is friggin BORING! I love seeing traditional hot rods with motors like a "Nailhead Buick" or a "394 cubed Olds" and sure you pay more for parts and having it rebuilt but its much more satisfying in the end either blowing the doors off or outshining some belly button ass "tree fiddy" swapped set of wheels. Bart 74 Gremlin with a AMC 360 swap
