Pretty much so I would guess. It's a story that has yet to be written if it ever will be at all. No one will ever know each change on assembly line, each running change in company, or what dealer did to get sale. Was not uncommon for dealer to change out rims off another AMC on the lot if customer wanted those and didn't want to wait, make a few more $$$ for dealer, and move on.

So what are you saying Eddie. We can do almost anything we want to our cars as long as it has a 70's theme to it and say it was bought new that way and people can't argue with you.
