| Hey Jim, anyplace you put your email out there on
internet usually gets a few of these. Wished it was that easy, especially free
shipping part. Here are 3 I got in same day.....one of them trolling (like
same canned one you got) from my own site: ============================  Hi There, I am Guy Smith,a private seller of parts.I came
across your wanted advert and email address on "http://www.planethoustonamx.com/amc_classifieds/amcads.htm" I would like to inform you that i have what you are interested in buying. If still interested please email me back.I ship to USA and CANADA free of charge. Thanks and Regard Guy Smith =============================== From: "albert johnson" <albertjohnson45@xxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, October 20, 2010 2:08 PM Subject: 67-68 Rebel convertible roof top frame Hello, Am Albert johnson from London, i came on your posted ad and i have the 67-68 Rebel convertible roof top frame that you want for sale, if you are really interested please contact my mail albertjohnson45@xxxxxxxxx or call +447011131300 thanks i will await your reply. Albert Johnson ===================================== From: "Hansen Ahmed" <marcusado@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <undisclosed-recipients:> Sent: Wednesday, October 20, 2010 12:33 PM Subject: Thanks very much for your understanding my names is Hansen Ahmed,I have a business offer for you, presently
in   Accra Ghana. If you are willing to work with me kindly send me your full details and I
will furnish you with all you need to know about the business. I will not disclose any information until I see your readiness and
willingness to work with me . Await your email/information: Regards, Hansen Ahmed. ===================================== What baffles me is of the only 823 Rebel 68 convertibles produced, I think
822 of them are in the UK or at least that is where most of the scammers 'said
they are' and 'have the roof frame'. Best thing to do is NOT simply delete them
but right click your mouse on the offending email, click on properties and copy
then forward whole email, pasting the internet headers to the server who will
then quickly shut them down, really easy to do. If you ever google or bing
'nigerian a**holes' a small, obscure old file comes up off my site on how to
deal with these scammers, but simply deleting the email from them not really a
option as they will probably, and eventually email you and others again under
different pretenses.
