15 Accessory Catalog and 70 Group 15 Accesory catalog and he emailed me wanting
refund as he 'thought they were full line dealer books' of whihc I had to
explain that the big dealer books never would HAVE Group 15 Accessories in them,
the file there, but empty, as AMC would send 'Supplements' to dealers, as Group
15 was ever changing as AMC had thousands of suppliers of items from floor mats,
compass, tissue dispenser, touch up paint, spoiler, mirror, radios, AMC "didn't
make them" they "outsourced" all that stuff as they did not have the resources
to "make" all that stuff, would have company make it, fit it for AMC, whether
embossed, decal, stamped or logo. 2010 comparison? Go to Wal Mart or Krogers,
safeway, whatever, they sell "their brand" like Wal Mart's "Great Value" they
not 'making it' it is made by Procter Gamble, LG, Campbell's, whoever.....and
Wal Mart puts their label on it. And sells it cheaper.
Hard to explain this sh*t to people decades after the
fact though who believe AMC had some overpaid UAW worker puffing Pall Malls
in Kenosha sweatshop sipping Schlitz screwing chrome necks to 70-up
retangular head mirrors Jaguar made sigh. Or slapping
"AMC" decal, complete with part number on a Kraco, Mitsubishi, RCA, Motorola
radio! And so it goes.
