Re: [BaadAssGremlins] 72 Javelin

!972 would be a Torqueflite 727 and the engine would be the last year of the old [better] heads with individual rocker studs. A great setup for your wagon.

As long as the motor hasn't gotten any water in it go for it. I'd V8 the wagon though as its much cooler than the more door!

I finally got a look at a friends Javelin that has been setting in his Dads yard since 1983.
It is a 1972 SST with a 360 and automatic.
As soon as I convince the owner to sell it, I was wondering if it would be worth it for the drivetrain. My first question is if it would be a Torqueflite or a BorgWarner  for the trans and if it would be worthwhile to rebuild. Also I was wondering if the engine wouds be worth rebuilding as well. The car is almost to the bottom of the doors in the dirt, and the floor is totally gone. It still has the trunk rack and 8 track player.
I am still debating on dropping a v8 into my wagon or my '74 Hornet 4dr.
I also might have a connection on getting a v8 cross member for less than $200.
Any advice would help.              Thanks                               Luke
