I believe it is Jim Landis on one of the amc forums that has and is making custom small bodied large tube headers. They cost a bit more but the fit is sopposed to be awsome case hes a real amcer and I plan to get a set as soon as i can afford them. Looking for a UR 18 tunnel ram intake right now for my next adventure!

So you're saying that you would definitely recommend the Doug's Headers for the 401? I'm in the market, so I'll have to check them out. Good to know what other guys do/don't recommend.

And I do not understand the stupid people on there either – I bought a set of Ceramic Coated Hooker Headers from Summit Racing and put them on my 69 Javelin with 401. Did not like them – hard to seal up exhaust leaks. So I paid a little more and got a set of Ceramic Coated Doug’s Headers from Summit Racing – they are awesome!!! Hopefully I can sell my used Ceramic Coated Hooker Headers on eBay and someone will pay me $50.00 more than I paid for them ;-)
