I will know more after I pick up this new(for me) 82 Spirit. Seller said it "just needs the pull lever/knob. I just try to get ahead of things. But I do think the hood mechanism itself is fine. I may even engineer a site for the cable out in front by the bumper. You know how it is when you are getting a new AMC.
