Re: [BaadAssGremlins] car shows and what I parked next to.

I went to my next to last car show for the season today. Considering the temperature around 50 degrees they had a fair showing of about 50 cars. Well I have parked next to Vette's, Mustangs, street rods you name it I don't care. I aways figure if they don't like my Gremlin they can move. Nobody has moved yet. I always love it when these guys have their hot Mustangs and Cameros and I get more attention out my way less than cherry Gremlin. Of course all they have to do is look and there are 10 more Mustangs and Cameros just like theirs down the line. You seen one you seen them all. Anyway there was a mint Auburn parked there and an open spot next to him. I hesitated and said what the hell. I back my $1000 Gremlin next to this $150,000+ Auburn supercharged speedster. While everyone looked at the Auburn I still got the looks and the stories. I might have said this before but it is kind of a shame. I go to shows all summer long around here and since I don't belong to a club I bet there isn't 6 people who know my name but everyone knows my Gremlin. At least four or five times a year I get personal invitations to go to some show somebody is putting on. They want to see the Gremlin there. I told my better half when I die I want her to put in my Obituary that I could be found in my 78 Gremlin at the local car shows during the summer. She thought it was nuts that she had never heard of anyone saying that went to football games. I told her I wanted the Gremlin in there so people will know who in the hell I am. Then I told her when I am laid out I want the Gremlin parked in the side parking lot of the funeral home right where two main roads come together and I want black a bow tied to the antenna. I also want it driven in the funeral procession. By this time she looked at me and said in front of or behind the family car. I would like to have it behind the hearse but I told her behind the family car would be alright. Just by her attitude I don't think it is going to happen. I am thinking about going by the funeral home and leaving them my request. I am not planning on dying soon but I am serious about this do you guys think I am nuts.
