Your right if they are sitting on the ground the underneath is just going to rot away. Since they have no frame even if the body doesn't rust away the only thing you might use them for is some parts. I know this happen to me. I had an old pop up camping trailer that I quit using about 10 years ago. I parked in my mothers back yard and it sunk. I decided at the beginning of this summer it would make one hell of a utility trailer. We dug a hole so we could get a jack under the frame. We started jacking and the frame just crumbled. Thinking we might could salvage most of it my son tore the camper off the frame. I got to looking at it and the whole frame was gone. The only thing that could have been used was the axle maybe and the tongue. He cut up what was left and sold it for scrap.
